Here’s probably the most interesting fact about the Oak Forest Honeydew Honey: it’s not gathered from blossom nectar! Also known as forest honey, this golden goodness is the product of honeydew excreted by bees or other plant-sucking insects like aphids - not to be confused with the fruit!
Earthy and warm to taste with medium sweetness, it is best consumed like Manuka honey (eat it straight or add to food). Dark to black in colour, Honeydew honey is therapeutic with antioxidants applenty.
Honeydew honey has very high antibacterial potency of both types: peroxide and non-peroxide its antioxidant power is especially high. It also has high prebiotic activity.
Honeydew honey contains more oligosaccharides and has a stronger prebiotic activity than blossom honey, which contributes a lot to treating constipation.
